Nicknamed ‘a park between the hills and the sea’, the Monte San Bartolo nature park marks the beginning of the hill system of the central Italian coast. It is the first high and rocky stretch of coastline on the Adriatic Sea, overlooking a spectacular cliff and reaching its highest point in the Castellaro hills and the villages of Casteldimezzo and Fiorenzuola di Focara. The Park is located between Gabicce Mare and Pesaro and presents very interesting and evocative aspects from a landscape and naturalistic as well as historical point of view.
