CERVIA MYSTERY TOUR
“Cervia, a city of many facets, known as the city of three sites thanks to its salt pans of Etruscan origin and its naturalistic importance as witnessed by the presence of pink flamingos. However, its history is full of mysteries and curiosities that deserve to be explored. During an evocative night walk, we will recount historical and folkloristic stories and legends of the town, in search of mysterious characters such as Grazia Deledda, Nobel Prize winner for literature, who chose to stay here instead of in her native Sardinia. In addition, we will dwell on the mysteries linked to the sea and the Adriatic coast, as well as the disturbing tales of Eraldo Baldini in his novel ‘Faccia di Sale’ (Salt Face). We will also explore the dark side of the city, such as the salt-pans area known as ‘Villa Inferno’. Although ancient Ficocles will not be visited due to the distance, we will dwell on some mysterious details related to this area. A unique experience to discover the most fascinating and disturbing side of Cervia.
