WILD HUNTING
A loop trek between nature and legends.
The Classe Pinewood is a Station of the Po Delta Regional Park, a naturalistic area of great faunal and botanical value. It is mentioned by Dante Alighieri in the Divine Comedy, frequented by Lord Byron and narrated in a novella of Boccaccio’s Decameron, in which the character of Nastagio degli Onesti appears.
What links him to the demonic horde of the ‘Wild Hunt’? What legendary beings lurk within this historic nature reserve?
Together with our guide, we will walk a loop itinerary with tales of local folklore enriched by observations on the fauna and botanical aspects for a hike
between Nature and Mystery.
We also visit the ‘Ortazzino’ wetland with its countless water birds.
