The Arcane Echoes of Morimondo
What if these rocks overhanging the ditch, uttering a magic word, revealed a secret to us? What if the ghost that many claim to see roaming the ancient ruins is that of the young Thaddea?
These strange questions will accompany our evening of ‘The arcane echoes of Morimondo’. We will meet in the clearing near the pharmacy in ‘Le Pole’ – Acqualagna; from here we will proceed in caravan for about ten minutes.
We will park in front of the entrance to the path that runs along the so-called ‘Fosso dell’Eremo’ (Hermitage Ditch); we will proceed on a slope, accompanied by the scents and sounds of nature and the lapping of a turquoise stream. We will arrive at the remains of the Hermitage of Santa Maria di Morimondo, nestled in the forest. Here the notes played on the harp by musician Annalisa Cancellieri will tell us the legend of the unfortunate Taddea, the protagonist of a song we composed for the occasion.
We will listen to more Apennine legends and some other ‘Celtic’ style songs. We will have a picnic dinner and, after dark, we will tell ghost stories.
TIME: meeting at 18.45, we recommend PUNTUALITY
DURATION: about 2 hours
DISTANCE: 3 km (there and back)
DIFFICULTY: After an initial short uphill section, the route becomes easy.
