Guided Tour and Traditional Lunch
Guided tour of Ravenna’s Mosaics
We will explore Ravenna together with a guided tour that blends art, culture, and traditional cuisine.
Starting around 10:30 AM, our Ravenna tour begins with a licensed English-speaking guide who will walk us through the city’s most iconic UNESCO heritage sites.
Using radio headsets, you’ll enjoy every word clearly and comfortably. We will visit the Basilica of San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, the Archiepiscopal Museum (with the Chapel of St. Andrew and the Ivory Throne), and the Neonian Baptistery.
After this inspiring cultural walk, we’ll head to a central restaurant for a typical Romagna-style lunch. The menu includes two courses, dessert, and water, all served in a welcoming local venue offering authentic flavors of the region.
The tour will end after lunch, but you’re free to keep discovering Ravenna on your own. We recommend a visit to a local mosaic workshop, where you can watch artisans at work or find a unique handmade souvenir.
This Ravenna tour is ideal for solo travellers, couples, and families looking for an authentic, well-rounded experience.
It’s available year-round, with flexible scheduling and reservation required.
It’s also an excellent option for cruise passengers planning a pre- or post-cruise stay in the area.
